Álava Group

Álava Group It offers hyperspectral imaging technology that predicts fruit ripeness in Australian supermarkets. This scanner, capable of determining the exact ripeness point of avocados, has been successfully tested in Australia and the UK by companies such as the Dutch firm OneThird.

The system uses spectroscopy This technology analyzes the inside of the fruit without damaging it, providing a precise diagnosis of its ripeness in seconds. It not only helps consumers choose the perfect product but also significantly reduces food waste and optimizes stock management for distributors.

Grupo Álava has extensive experience in the implementation of machine vision solutions for quality control in the food sector. It has advanced vision systems, such as near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and hyperspectral technology, which allow for similar and even more advanced applications for the food industry.

Hyperspectral camera inspection systems are capable of determining the degree of maturity, sugar content, fat percentage or detection of foreign bodies without physical contact with the product.

Machine vision equipment adapts to conveyor belts, robotic cells and automatic sorting systems, allowing real-time analysis of large volumes of product.

Similar to the scanners implemented in Australian supermarkets, Grupo Álava works with machinery manufacturers and integrators who can supply compact maturity analysis systems for use in the distribution chain or at the point of sale, improving the consumer experience and reducing food waste.

In addition, Grupo Álava's vision and software development platforms include artificial intelligence and advanced analytics modules that allow the operator to perform real-time operations such as: monitoring the product's condition, optimizing stock, and anticipating replenishment.
