The big technology week for the industrial sector kicks off tomorrow in Barcelona with the simultaneous celebration of Advanced Factories, the leading event in automation, robotics and industry 4.0 in Southern Europe, and AMT 2025, the biennial machine tool trade fair for the metalworking industry. Since the April 8th to 10th, Both fairs will bring together more than 37.000 industrial professionals, generating an economic impact of more than 79 million euros for the city of Barcelona.
At a time when reindustrialization is emerging as key to regaining European industrial independence, the industrial sector must invest in the automation and robotization of its production processes to boost its global competitiveness. For this reason, for three days, thousands of industrial professionals will attend Advanced Factories and AMT – Advanced Machine Tools to discover the latest developments in automation, robotics, 4.0 technologies, and cutting-edge machinery to transform their production plants into automated, efficient, and sustainable factories.
For that, more than 680 exhibiting companies Advanced Factories will showcase the latest in robotics, industrial automation, artificial intelligence, machine vision, 3D printing, digital twins, IoT, and more, as well as solutions for the integration of production systems, cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, quality control, and improving energy efficiency. The AMT pavilion will also feature more than 180 exhibiting companies which will present the latest developments in machine tools (chip removal, machining, cutting, forming, etc.), instrumentation, components, materials, and other solutions for the metalworking sector and its auxiliary industry.
More than 200 successful industrial experiences
With the aim of not only presenting the latest 4.0 innovations and technologies for the industrial sector, but also discovering successful cases of application of these solutions in production plants, the Industry 4.0 Congress will showcase more than 200 industrial experiences from leading firms in the sector.
Mmore than 430 experts de Industries ranging from automotive to pharmaceutical and food will share trends and success stories of applying advanced technologies in production plants. This is the case with executives from automotive companies such as Stellantis, Michelin, Seat Cupra, Horse (Renault Group), Nissan, Gestamp, Mercedes-Benz or Fersa; from the chemical and pharmaceutical sector as Almirall, Novaltia, Basf, Towa Pharma, Hipra or B. Braun Surgical; of food and beverages such as Coca-Cola, Damm, Grupo Agora, Noel, Pastas Gallo and Kellogg's; from the aeronautical sector as Airbus; of fashion and textiles as Selmark and Pikolin; of metal asDicomol, Inoxforma or Anudal; and other sectors such as energy, Moeve and Naturgy, among others.
The Industry 4.0 Congress will also feature specific forums such as the CIO's Summit, the Industrial Cybersecurity Forum, the Plant Managers Summit, the Artificial Intelligence Forum, the 3D Printing Forum, the National Congress of Industrial Estate Managers, and the Metal Industry 4.0 Summit, focused on the metallurgical industry.
Talent, a global challenge to reindustrialize Europe
The new edition of Advanced Factories and AMT will pay special attention to the challenge of attracting young talent faced by the industry, especially the metal sector. To this end, they will host the Talent Marketplace, a meeting aimed at vocational training students, university graduates, and young talents. The goal is to showcase job opportunities in the industry, debunking myths and demonstrating how it is a sector with a high demand for well-paid workers.
