HERMA orIt obtained the second-best rating, a “B”, in the area of climate protection, awarded by the prestigious CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), a global non-profit organization dedicated to reporting on environmental and climate protection.
This places the Filderstadt-based company, which specializes in packaging and labeling technology, among the approximately 20.000 companies worldwide assessed by the CDP in 2025. According to the organization, CDP maintains the largest database of environmental information and applies a rigorous, independent methodology to evaluate the quality of data disclosure, risk awareness, environmental management, and demonstration of good practices. Ratings range from A to D, with A being the highest. Globally, the CDP rating system is frequently used by procurement teams, among others, to move toward carbon neutrality within their companies.

Elise KeulerThe Sustainability Management department also highlights the benefit for the company: “Transparency regarding the environment and climate protection has become a key success factor, as more and more customers value sustainable and responsible purchasing. HERMA consciously complies with these requirements, largely because we consider them a clear competitive advantage.”
“The independent assessment by CDP demonstrates that HERMA addresses climate protection in a very structured and goal-oriented way. Achieving a ‘B’ rating on the first attempt is a result we are very proud of and allows us to position ourselves well within the sector,” says Elise Keuler.
