Idilia, Spanish family-owned food company closes the year with the announcement of its first international acquisition. It is Shaken Udder, a British company dedicated to making smoothies premium liquorscharacterized by their excellent flavor combined with the high quality of their ingredients.
Shaken Udder is the leading premium milkshake brand in the UK. Founded in 2004, its headquarters are located in Tiptree, Essex, near the farm where founders Jodie and Andrew Howie made their first milkshake. Today, Shaken Udder boasts a portfolio of 20 products and is projected to reach a turnover of €40 million by 2025.
Shaken Udder will operate as an independent business unit and will retain its entire current team, who will maintain close collaboration with Idilia. With this acquisition, the Spanish company continues to drive the development of the milkshake category, following its purchase of 50% of Cacaolat in June 2024. Idilia—which last year posted revenues of €204 million and employed 335 people—is also strengthening its international business, which it expects to account for approximately 20% of its total revenue by 2026. EY-Parthenon and Clifford Chance advised Idilia on the acquisition.
