June 9th, 2023

ovelate

to veil has been recognized, for the second consecutive year, with a AIFEC Award in the Food and Drinks category for his work in flexography at his red wine sleeve “Y volarás”, belonging to the Arganda del Rey wine cooperative.

Ovelar has developed this sleeve with transparent PET material, combining different printing techniques to achieve different finishes: high definition flexography and screen printing. Reliefs and textures, which allow us to extol both the “Y volarás” brand, as well as the nerves of those red leaves that stand out against the black and remind us of autumn, the poinsettia, and, of course, the bright bright red color from the musts of the Syrah grape with which this wine is made.

Likewise, the company has used varnishes that add sophistication to the sleeve as a whole, so that this special edition of the wine with the Vinos de Madrid Denomination of Origin was up to the award it has received, the Gold Medal 2023 in the V National Contest of Wines 'VinEspaña', granted by the Spanish Federation of Oenology.

For this reason, the design of this sleeve contains that gold medal, standing out in the middle area of the bottle, on a matt black stripe that simulates a band on the label. This band is made in external printing with different varnishes, with which a high resistance to rubbing has been achieved, and, in addition, it has been achieved that it stands out against the shine of the black background of the sleeve.

Finally, Ovelar does not forget about sustainability and the circular economy, with the inclusion of a longitudinal pre-cut line and its corresponding explanatory text so that the consumer can remove the sleeve and it can be separated from the bottle, isolating it from the glass for proper recycling. .

The Awards were delivered during the XXIII AIFEC Congress (Iberian Association of Continuous Label Manufacturers) held in Marrakech from May 25 to 28.
