El Packaging Cluster will celebrate Packaging Night on November 21 at the Hotel Princess (Barcelona). This gala not only represents an opportunity to bring together more than 150 professionals from the sector, but also serves as a meeting point to promote networking and the exchange of ideas between companies, innovators and experts.
As part of La Noche del Packaging 2024, the Packaging Cluster recognises the importance of initiatives that drive innovation, sustainability and collaboration in the packaging sector. This year, several awards will be presented, highlighting projects and companies that have made significant contributions to the evolution of the industry. These recognitions not only celebrate individual achievements, but also serve as a benchmark for the rest of the sector, inspiring greater collaboration and continuous improvement in an increasingly dynamic and competitive environment.
El Award for the Best Collaborative Project in Sustainability will be awarded to PackimpactPackimpact, a pioneering initiative coordinated by Rieusset, NG Plastics, Alzamora, Font Packaging, Lúcid, Inèdit, Virospack, Enplater, Aimplas, IFLEX, Comexi and the Packaging Cluster. Packimpact aims to create a simple and intuitive online tool for companies in the packaging sector to assess the environmental impact of their packaging, efficiently analysing the entire value chain through Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). This initiative has received support from ACCIÓ through the IRC call, as well as from the Ministry of Industry through the AEI programme, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the sector.
On the other hand, virospack, world leader in the manufacture of cosmetic dispensers (dropper manufacturers), will receive the Award for the Best Strategic Change to Improve Competitiveness. The company has made significant investments in state-of-the-art machinery, as well as in research and development (R&D) and job creation. These actions have allowed Virospack to increase its production capacity and improve its sustainability, with the support of ACCIÓ.
Finally, the Most Proactive Partner Award will be awarded to Trading Films, a company dedicated to the marketing and distribution of thermoplastic polymers. Trading Films has shown significant involvement with the cluster, participating in different initiatives organised by the cluster and actively working to add value to the sector. The company has adapted to the constant changes in the industry and has contributed to defending the interests of the community in the regulatory field.
The event will be sponsored by Hispack (Fira de Barcelona), Hinojosa, Fakolith and Rieusset (Gerosa Group), as well as the collaboration of IMES3D, Caixa d'Enginyers and the institutional support of ACCIÓ, Generalitat de Catalunya.
