Mucilage, the purity of cocoa – by TSMGO – The show must go on
for Kankel Cacao in International

The challenge for Kankel Cacao was to create a pure bean-to-bar cocoa bar, made entirely of cocoa from the white cottony pulp that covers the cocoa seeds: the mucilage. For the designers, the goal was to make the consumer understand what they were proposing at first glance. They found the solution by abstracting and synthesizing all accessory elements, aiming for the essence and rawness of the cocoa pod itself. It is unusual to see the mucilage in this form, so they placed it in the foreground as the absolute protagonist of the packaging.

LATAMPACK Award for the best set of packaging for food, beverages, cosmetics or other products
Ranilla Craft Beer – by Mínima Compañia for Ranilla Brewery
in the Canary Islands

It was born with a link to a specific environment, the La Ranilla neighbourhood in Puerto de la Cruz. The packaging line of Ranilla Beers has been worked on through a standardisation of the compositional scheme and the creation of personalised illustrations based on a main character. A distinctive, humorous but sophisticated graphic line is created. The Ranilla frog facilitates the individual recognition of each beer, offers a visual summary of the character and origin and invites the collection. Each label variant is a creative exercise that concludes with an illustration that feeds the visual language of the brand.
