quad pack has invested in new equipment to manufacture the PET containers for lip gloss at its flagship plant in Kierspe, Germany. This operation builds on its expertise in thick-wall PET injection molding and also expands its product portfolio to include color cosmetics. The plant currently manufactures and decorates jars, bottles, and airless containers for both skincare and makeup, primarily for the European market.
Pierre Antoine Henry, Senior Director of Marketing, Innovation & Strategic Development, explains: "There is a market gap in dip-in bottles compatible with high-alkane formulas, particularly 6ml lip gloss bottles made entirely from PET. We can now meet demand in the region for the majority of our customers while underlining our color cosmetics credentials."
The new equipment is dedicated to the production of lip gloss bottles for its mono-material dip-in packaging, made from PET and with high PCR content options.
Quadpack's dip-in packaging solutions are an example of its hybrid co-creation and co-manufacturing model with global strategic partners: locally manufactured bottles complemented by a proprietary range of high-tech applicators. Henry explains: "It's an important step in combining Asian technology, costs, and know-how with European manufacturing expertise."
