siegwerk, a printing inks and coatings company, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hi-Tech Inks, a leading Indian producer of flexographic and gravure printing inks. This transaction will significantly strengthen Siegwerk's position in the Indian market. flexible packaging, with rapid growth, making the resulting company the main player in the country with a market share exceeding 20%.
The acquisition underscores Siegwerk's long-term commitment to India and the broader Asian region, one of the company's most important strategic growth markets. Hi-Tech Inks will bring a robust range of products to Siegwerk's global portfolio. solvent and aqueous inks, metallic and special effects inks, varnishes and overprint varnishes (OPV). This integration will strengthen Siegwerk's manufacturing presence in India with two plants in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) and Vapi (Gujarat), thereby improving capacity and operational resilience. The resulting organization will employ approximately 1700 people across India.
