Ecoembes celebrated the second edition of Circularity Day, an event that is consolidated as a reference for reflecting on sustainability and circular economy and that was organized by Mr. Goldwind and Experientia.
More than 200 guests gathered at Green Patio, a space that stands out for being an example of circularity in the events industry, to rethink the present, exchange ideas and explore the most innovative initiatives in the circular economy.
The event, hosted by the presenter Rachel Martos, brought together leading professionals from different sectors who integrate circularity into their daily work. Elisa Delibes, in charge of inaugurating the meeting, recalled the connection of her father, Miguel Delibes, with nature; Alberto Agueda, director of surveillance and space traffic management at GMV, addressed the challenge of space debris; Berta Julia, founder of Alted Materials, presented the use of sustainable materials in architecture; and Angel León, a chef of the sea and holder of three Michelin stars, known for transforming waste into haute cuisine. For his part, Wheat Rose, CEO of Ecoembes, highlighted the importance of unity over individualism to achieve the circular transformation.
The event was designed to ensure an immersive and accessible experience, with the slogan 'Spinning is the best way forward' as a guiding thread in every detail. Immersion in nature was key: the scenery transported attendees to an autumn forest with natural decoration (fallen leaves, recovered Christmas trees), real ambient sounds and 3D visual effects that simulated changes in the landscape, recreating the different phases of the day.
Conceived to be 100% circular In all aspects, Ecoembes Circularity Day 2025 stood out for its focus on sustainability, beyond the content. From un a circular design stage, cloakroom tickets made from plastic bottle caps, badges made from seed paper, second-life uniforms for the hosts, reused materials and scenery that, after the event, was given to attendees, destined for composting or replanted. In addition, measures were taken to minimize the carbon footprint such as choosing nearby hotels for speakers, using electric transport and offsetting CO2issued.
As for audiovisual production, it was recorded with professional film equipment, allowing for later viewing in YouTube as a legacy. To ensure broad and diverse access, the event was streamed live, facilitating participation by a global audience.
With this second edition and its annual nature, Circularity Day reaffirms its strong commitment to raising awareness and taking a stand in favour of circularity, laying the foundations and serving as an archive for future editions that continue to inspire change towards a more sustainable model.
