“A powerful example of what happens when strategy, creativity and execution are aligned at the highest level”; this is how the jury of the awards Vertex Awards the design of the canned fish that superstudio has developed for Sanchez Romero, recognizing it with the Best of Show among more than 600 candidate pieces from 53 countries.
At the gala held on May 19 in Amsterdam, coinciding with the PLMA's Annual World of Private International Trade Show, Supperstudio also won the award for Agency of the Year 2025 (EMEA), by winning 6 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze in the same edition. “For making us look twice, think more deeply and believe again in the power of packaging,” in the words of Phil Russo, editor of Global Retail Brands Magazine.
Sanchez Romero, gourmet and cool crafts
With the new packaging identity From the high-value Madrid store chain Sánchez Romero, Supperstudio celebrates naturalness and the work of small and medium-sized national and international producers with an eco-design approach, which defines the entire line of packaging and wrapping by reducing materials, inks, and supports.
Other award-winning works have been the packaging and branding of the ice cream cocktails Two Rhombuses; the identity and packaging for the Iberian products store Acorn Love; the collection of teas and infusions of El Corte Inglés; and the identity and packaging of the stores Alfredo's Pasta.
This year, Supperstudio became the most awarded agency in the competition, with a total of 73 awards since 2015. Christopher Durham, co-founder of the Vertex Awards and president of the Velocity Institute, highlights that “Supperstudio continues to redefine the concept of excellence in the world of brands and packaging.”
