The London Packaging Week Innovation Awards recognize the best packaging designs

The jury, composed of 18 experts, selected the 13 winners of the London Packaging Week Innovation Awards, also awarding 9 honorable mentions among more than 120 nominations and 80 finalists.

Art of Perfume – Pierre de Velay by Roja Dove They triumphed in the Perfume Packaging Innovation category for their personalized presentation box with an elegant opening mechanism. The hair care line Rhyme & Reason by SLG Brands It won the Hair Care Packaging Innovation Award, thanks to its sustainable approach that uses 100% recycled materials without sacrificing aesthetics or performance. Daisyface It won the Skin Care Packaging Innovation Award, combining a fun, refillable aluminum container with airless pump technology and a biodegradable paper exterior with daisy seeds.

Hendrick's Gin (William Grant & Sons), In collaboration with Hunter Luxury and Boundless Brand Design, It won the Beverage Innovation Award for The Whimsical Watering Can, a watering can-shaped packaging for this well-known gin, a collectible design that brings to life the eccentric personality of the brand.

The macallan He was awarded twice: first, with A Study in Oak – 33-Year-Old 1991 Origins Sherry & Mizunara Edition, a collaboration with Bill Amberg Studio and Ephemerus ConceptsThe Macallan TIME: SPACE Mastery – HH Global / MDI / Macallan (Edrington) received a Certificate of Excellence in the Luxury Beverage Innovation category. The concept combines leather craftsmanship, precision engineering, and joinery to transform the opening into a ceremonial and immersive experience.  

The 'Spirit of Travel' collection Hennessy XO, created with Knockout Design, won the Premium Beverage Innovation Award, combining cultural storytelling, sustainable materials and multisensory design, with 100% recyclable pulp cases, recycled leather luggage tags and city-inspired illustrations.

Ardbeg's The Abyss It won first place in the Luxury Drinks Innovation Awards, transforming whisky packaging into an immersive and collectible experience. Inspired by a diving helmet, the design features a custom 3D-printed locking mechanism, a chamber that reveals hidden treasures, and integrated comic book illustrations.

Trinny London, In collaboration with Curtis Packaging, won the Beauty Accessories Innovation Award for its 2024 Christmas gift bag. This practical, elegant and reusable container combines a striking holographic “TT” print with an ingenious foldable and unfoldable design.

At the Sustainable Packaging Innovation Awards, PA Consulting and Diageo They received the top award for their dry-molded fiber bottle, a breakthrough in low-carbon and fully recyclable paper beverage packaging. The paper bottle dJohnnie Walker Black Label, created with dry-molded fiber technology of PulPacIt is composed of 90% paper with a thin plastic coating; it is approximately 60% lighter than glass and offers a potential carbon reduction of up to 47%.

In the Food Packaging Innovation Award, Hotel Chocolate It triumphed with its Extra Thick Easter Egg, made with 100% recyclable paper pulp collected from the curb and infused with cocoa shells, and Kintsugi-style gold foil details to celebrate craftsmanship, natural inspiration and circular design.

Vitals+ by Heights It won the Consumer Packaging Innovation award for its elegant jar and curved lid, which combine striking design with great stability and practicality. In the Household Goods Innovation category, the Cashmere Candle – Essential Oil Blend from Aroma Therapy It won first prize thanks to a carefully crafted design that minimizes environmental impact and offers a sensory experience. Its outer box, made from agricultural byproducts and mycelium, is fully biodegradable and reintegrates into the earth once opened, merging sustainability and luxury.
