El RDM Group The company has published the pre-launch of its 2025 Sustainability Report, a year in which it achieved a production of 1.055 kilotons of cardboard and recycled 1.058 kilotons of paper. Furthermore, it increased its use of renewable energy to 79%, reduced its carbon intensity by 20% compared to 2020, and obtained 85% of its materials from renewable sources.

With 89,8% of waste being recycled, the Group is on track to meet its 2030 target of 90,0%. This progress was driven by higher-quality factory waste, stronger collaboration with partners, and the contribution of the Group's Swedish plant in Fiskeby, where almost all waste is recycled. Wastewater discharge intensity decreased by 19% to 8,94 m³/tonne, also moving closer to the 2030 target of 8,85 m³/tonne.

Carbon intensity was reduced by 20% compared to the 2020 baseline, to 0,397 tCO₂e/tonne, thanks to a strong increase in the purchase of green electricity, from 42% in 2024 to 79% in 2025, along with improvements in process efficiency and a more balanced utilization of the plant.

2025 marked a pivotal year for RDM Group innovation in recycled packaging, with a series of new products that pushed the boundaries of what fiber-based materials can achieve.

Vincicoat Ecolaminate, developed over two years with Ecopol, combines recycled cardboard with a biodegradable PVOH barrier film. This pioneering solution allows the use of recycled cardboard in sensitive food applications, while maintaining its recyclability after use. Its potential to drive circularity in packaging was recognized with the Innovation Award at the 4evergreen Alliance Circularity Success Stories Awards in November.
Vincicoat Plus offers 15% to 20% greater strength than standard white-coated cardboard and allows for weight reductions of up to 20% in packaging. After completing customer validation, it was launched in February 2026.

More recently, RDM Group launched Multiboard CirculaRR, a PE-coated board made from 100% recycled fibers and plastic, setting a new benchmark for fully recycled packaging materials in the industry.

Michele Bianchi, CEO of RDM Group stated: “Placing ESG criteria at the heart of our strategy has made us more resilient financially and operationally, more innovative, and more responsive to our customers’ needs. Our business is about giving new life to materials that would otherwise become waste, a principle that remains fundamental to our long-term strategy. We believe that sustainability is not only a responsibility but also a source of competitive advantage, and we hope that our approach serves as a positive example of the value created by prioritizing sustainability.”

Looking ahead to 2030, RDM Group has identified four priorities: health and safety, greater value derived from circularity, customer satisfaction through quality and service, and continuous product innovation.
