To support the transformation of the packaging sector towards more sustainable, circular and digitalized models, the Cluster of Innovation in Container and Packaging He has launched the project InnoAgent Packaging Cluster.
This initiative introduces the figure of the Innovation Agent to energize the collaboration between companies, universities, technology centers and public administrations. R&D, technology and collaboration
The project, which runs until December 2026, is supported by Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), within the framework of the Talent Promotion Program 2025 Grantsaimed at strengthening the Valencian Innovation System and improving the production model between 2025 and 2027. Furthermore, the initiative receives funding from the European Union in the framework of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme Valencian Community 2021-2027.
In this vein, InnoAgent Packaging Cluster plans to generate at least nine R&D&I projects; identify and channel 20 technological solutions adapted to the current challenges of the sector; and, finally, formalize 20 collaboration agreements between companies, knowledge centers and entities of the innovation ecosystem, as the main expected results.
This project will promote innovation in the packaging sector, and companies associated with the cluster will be able to move towards digitalization, innovation in eco-design, and the adoption of production models aligned with the circular economy, among other things.
Finally, in the words of Jesús Pérez, thanks to this project “From the Cluster, we are reinforcing our role as a driving force in the packaging industry with a professional specializing in innovation management.”
