II GoldPack Awards

Sintac Recycling, Manc Recyclaplast, DS Smith Tecnicarton and Logifruit have been the award-winning companies in the 2nd edition of the GoldPack Awards, promoted by Container and Packaging Innovation Cluster, and which were presented at a meeting held in Valencia.

The jury for this edition was composed of experts in different disciplines, with an evaluation panel made up of companies Amaltea, Nunsys, Ayming, ATQ, ALETREO and Improven Projects, as well as by technological centers AIMPLAS e ITENE.

El GoldPack Award for the Best Circular Economy Project It has been for Sintac Recycling and has been collected by Vicente Olmos, CEO & Founder, and Teresa Martínez, Circular Economy Project Manager. With the name LIFECLOOVER, is a multi-stakeholder initiative that promotes the circular economy in the agri-food sector, applied to polyolefin plastic packaging.

The project implements closed-loop systems that integrate eco-design, logistics optimization, and traceability, combining reuse and recycling to manufacture new packaging with up to 100% recycled plastic. LIFECLOOVER contributes to reducing the use of virgin materials, maximizing reuse cycles, and ensuring the recycling of end-of-life packaging, demonstrating the viability of circular and scalable models in the industry.

El The Best Digitalization Project Award went to Manc Recyclaplast and its CEO, Lidia Navarro, and its CCO, Sandra Navarro, received it. The award was given for its implementation of an MES system adapted to industrial plastic recycling, which digitizes waste traceability in real time and integrates ERP, quality, and planning.

The system meets the highest regulatory standards and enables close traceability for food contact materials. The solution incorporates Industry 4.0 technologies, prepares the plant for future IoT and artificial intelligence integration, and strengthens Manc Recyclaplast's position as a strategic partner in the circular economy.

El The Best Internationalization Project Award went to DS Smith Tecnicarton and was collected by Antonio Cebrián, Sales and Marketing Director. The jury recognized the company's international expansion strategy, which has consolidated its presence in North Africa with the opening of a new production center in Kenitra (Morocco), in addition to the plant in Tangier.

This expansion strengthens DS Smith Tecnicarton's competitiveness in emerging markets, particularly in the automotive sector, and enables it to offer advanced packaging solutions to customers in Europe and Africa, increasing the company's flexibility and global responsiveness.

Finally, the Cluster wanted to distinguish the business history of the company Logifruit with a GoldPack Award, presented to its CEO, Pedro Ballester, and its general manager, José Vicente Caurín. The company is a leader in the management and supply of logistics solutions for the packaging sector. This recognition highlights its ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and, above all, the firm's strong collaboration and commitment within the Cluster's ecosystem.
