Veralia has participated in the first face-to-face meeting of the second year of activity of #CEOForDiversity, which was held at the Genova Financial Center in Madrid, attended by 30 of the 75 CEOs adhered to the alliance.
Developed by the Adecco Foundation and CEOE Foundation, the #CEOPorLaDiversidad alliance, a pioneer in Europe, has brought together 75 CEOs around a common and innovative vision of diversity, equity and inclusion (De & I). Its objective is to promote the development of strategies that contribute to business excellence, the competitiveness of talent in Spain and the reduction of inequality and social exclusion.
The session was chaired by Enrique Sánchez, President of the Adecco Foundation, and Fatima Banez, president of the CEOE Foundation.
During the day, a review was made of the current context, strongly marked by a social, demographic and digital transformation accelerated by the Covid-19, in which companies must promote change through the direct commitment of their senior management, who must become a benchmark and inspire their teams, clients and all their stakeholders.
The figure of the CEO will be strategic so that diversity, equity and inclusion policies have a real and sustainable impact on the organization, as a basis for a more inclusive business fabric and a more egalitarian society in which no one is left behind.
In this sense, the importance of relying on the 2030 Agenda as a great roadmap to respond to challenges such as the reduction of inequalities, the end of poverty or decent work for all people. In line with Sustainable Development Goal number 17 (alliances to achieve the objectives), the #CEOPorlaDiversidad initiative seeks to advance towards these goals through the union and effort of companies that, led by their own CEOs, increase the competitiveness of the business fabric and contribute to reducing inequalities in Spain, through innovative and transformative diversity, equity and inclusion policies.
