Acesur expands its portfolio with the launch of a new format of extra virgin olive oil Under its brand name, the oil combines an outer box with a multi-layered inner bag equipped with a dispensing tap. This structure protects the oil from light and oxygen, reducing oxidation and helping to preserve its sensory profile—aromas, fruitiness, and polyphenol content—for longer. Furthermore, the non-return tap system prevents air from entering, even when the container is nearly empty, ensuring consistent quality throughout its use.
“This new format reflects our understanding of innovation: better protecting extra virgin olive oil and making it easier for consumers to use it every day, incorporating more efficient and sustainable packaging solutions that provide real value,” he explains. Mario Sánchez de Pablos, commercial and marketing director of Acesur Iberia.
Designed for everyday use in the kitchen, this format allows for precise control of consumption, promoting greater product efficiency. Its clean and controlled dispensing system prevents spills and waste.
From an environmental perspective, this new format is a more efficient alternative to traditional packaging. The outer box is 100% recyclable, and the inner bag uses less plastic than a conventional bottle. Furthermore, its lightweight, stackable, cubic design optimizes transport and storage, thus contributing to reduced CO₂ emissions and a smaller carbon footprint throughout the supply chain.
