AINIA, with the improvement of recycled material packaging

May 15th 2012

Ainia technological center, through the Eco-Regrind project, studies to improve the properties of plastics that incorporate a proportion of recycled material, as well as its process and treatment for its use in the manufacture of packaging, achieving an improvement in functional and environmental aspects of the final container.

The objective, according to Esther García, a member of the Ainia packaging technologies department, is to ensure that the packaging, which incorporates recycled material content, is capable, at least, of equal in quality and properties to the packaging manufactured using only virgin plastic .
Eco-Regrind lasts for two years and is supported by IMPIVA, through the European Regional Development Fund.
