Albéa Group partners with GlaxoSmithKline to launch recyclable toothpaste tubes

For this fully recyclable toothpaste tubes, Albea Group will use its proprietary technology Greenleaf 2 laminated tubes in the global oral health brands of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH), included Sensodyne, Parodontax and Aquafresh.

GSKCH is committed to making 100% of its product packaging recyclable or reusable, when quality and safety allow, by 2025. Its sustainability initiatives support GSK's commitment to achieving a net zero impact on climate and a positive impact on nature by 2030.

Albéa's Greenleaf 2 laminated tube technology provides the same product protection as current ones and allows them to be recyclable. Greenleaf 2 tubes are recognized by the Plastic Recyclers Association in the USA and by RecyClass and SUEZ.circpack in Europe. These acknowledgments confirm that the tubes are compatible with the existing HDPE bottle recycling stream.
