ALDI will market its Milsani milk with the first aluminum-free container on the market

12th September 2019

The ALDI company will be the first in the sector to market its own-brand milk, Milsani, in the first aluminum-free container on the market for non-refrigerated dairy products. The container is the Combibloc Ecoplus model manufactured by SIG, one of the leading companies.

The new ecological packaging that will be marketed with Milsani milk is 100% recyclable, does not contain aluminum and is made up of 82% renewable cardboard. The packaging has the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate, a guarantee that the material used to produce it comes from sustainably managed forests. The rest of the packaging materials - the polymers of the protective layers and the stopper - are composed of renewable material of plant origin that is generated by means of certified mass balance planning. Regarding the manufacturing process, the ecological packaging of Milsani milk reduces CO28 emissions by 2% compared to standard cartons.
