Alejandro García Angulo, CEO of Drimpak, has been unanimously re-elected as President of the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Containers, Packaging and Cardboard Transformation, ASPACK.
Alejandro García is an ICAI Industrial Engineer from UP Comillas and a Master in ICAI Industrial Organization. After 6 years in management work in different companies, he joined the world of packaging 15 years ago through ICESA (later Nekicesa) as Industrial Director and Technical Director.
For eight years, he has been the CEO of Drimpak. From the presidency of a sector that represents 86 companies, 4000 workers and an annual turnover of 650 million euros, it is intended to continue promoting the main development paths of the sector.
According to Alejandro García “our first objective to develop during this new term is to update the Strategic Plan of the Association, which will be carried out in the next two months and which will mark the way forward for the Association based on the interests and needs that show the industry, which you intend to involve as a whole. The 8th Congress of the Association, which will be held from October 13 to 16 in San Sebastián, will be the ideal setting to present our new Plan to the entire cardboard packaging industry ”.
Along with the election of Alejandro García as the new president, there has been a renewal of the ASPACK Board of Directors, which will now be made up of: Xavier Matas from Grafopack; Heliodoro Vidal of the Graphic Packaging Industry; José Ramón Benito from Eman-Grupo Docuworld; Joaquín Balet from SAICA Pack, Ramón Navarro from Miralles Cartonajes; Carlos Mora from Cartonajes Mora; Txomin Echarre from DS Smith Packaging Pamplona; Josep Lluís Ferrás from SEDA Ibérica and Pablo Serrano as Secretary General.
