All4Labels and ACTEGA collaborate to market sustainable decoration with a “label-free look”

24th October 2024

All4Labels Global Packaging Group and ACTEGA are strengthening their partnership for the development and market distribution of an innovative direct printing technology with “labelless look”, Signite®, which supports sustainability goals by eliminating printing substrates and reducing CO2 emissions.

The collaboration started in December 2023, with the signing of the 10-year agreement that designated All4Labels as the exclusive partner of ACTEGA’s Signite® technology in the European market. Over the past 10 months, the multifunctional teams of both companies have been working together to scale up and optimize the production process, making the solution available to brand owners in Europe for commercialization. The innovative “labelless look” solution opens up significant new opportunities, especially in the segments of wines and spirits, personal and home care, beer and beverage, and food – importantly, including products that currently do not use labels. Brands now have the option to turn their packaging into an attractive design solution with greater design flexibility and a lower environmental impact.

Another important milestone has been reached today: the two companies have agreed to an extension of the agreement to include the Central and South America region, where All4Labels will exclusively market Signite® sustainable and disruptive decoration technology in the market, within its STAR portfolio under the name STARDIRECT™.

Guido Iannone, COO of All4Labels and President for Mexico, South Africa and China, says: “The tangible success of the first months of collaboration and testing led us to wish to expand our partnership with ACTEGA and invest further in this ambitious project. We have started with a first pilot plant in Leeds (UK) and are now expanding its production to multiple sites in Europe and South America. At All4Labels, we believe in sustainability-driven projects that represent the future of the packaging industry, and we are standing shoulder to shoulder with our customers to transform their packaging with sustainability and circularity in mind.”

Thorsten Kroller, President of the ACTEGA division, highlights: “ACTEGA has a long-standing commitment to developing and commercializing transformative technologies that can improve the sustainability of the packaging industry without compromising brand values. We are delighted with All4Labels’ commitment to sustainability, which we share, and their investment in taking Signite® technology to the next level. With this expanded agreement, we look forward to taking the positive impact of our sustainable technology to a broader level and to continue supporting brand owners on a local and global scale.”
