Alzamora Group wins the Best Convenience Packaging award with Eco-Basket

Alzamora Group He has obtained the prize al Best Convenience Packaging across World Food Innovation Awards (WFIA) con Eco-Basket, the fully biodegradable and recyclable solution that replaces conventional plastic packaging for grapes.

The World Food Innovation Awards, one of the most important competitions in the world food industry, celebrated its 7th edition on March 23rd in a virtual ceremony, organized in conjunction with the popular IFE association. The jury considered 276 entries from 22 countries, with a total of 26 categories.

Eco-Basket, the solution sustainable financing model Alzamora Group for the fruit and vegetable sector, aims to be an alternative to traditional plastic packaging for grapes, frequently used in small and large stores.

Designed with the minimum use of cardboard possible, Eco-Basket is fully recyclable and biodegradable. A ecodesign which has managed to maintain, with great results, the same quality of the product.

Thanks to the holes on the outside of the container, the fruit can breathe in perfect condition. In turn, the minimalist character of the pack allows the brand to play with creativity and originality, becoming a product that draws attention on the shelf.

The R&D director of Alzamora Group, Carlos Cargol, He adds that “Eco-Basket is a solution that presents optimal ergonomics. On the one hand, it is easy for the user to handle with just one hand, and on the other, it can stand on its own thanks to the stability afforded by the Kraft used ”.
