amec and Barcelona-Catalunya Center Logístic will collaborate to boost the competitiveness of industrial companies

Amec and Barcelona-Catalunya Center Logistics (BCL) have signed a collaboration agreement to promote joint actions that help boost the competitiveness of industrial companies and of Barcelona as an international logistics center. The industry and logistics communities are closely linked, and that is why amec and BCL have set out to share knowledge, activities and develop common projects.

This has been ratified by the general director of amec, Joan Tristany, and the CEO of BCL, Santiago Bassols, at the signing of the agreement. BCL and amec will collaborate in the development of projects, studies, training and dissemination activities, as well as the exchange of experts and knowledge related to industry and logistics.

“In the last two years we have seen how logistics has become a key element for industrial companies to the point that it is essential for their competitiveness. This collaboration is of great value to amec and will undoubtedly bring BCL's specialized knowledge to our industrial companies", explained amec's CEO, Joan Tristany.

The general director of BCL, Santiago Bassols, explained that “the agreement with amec is of special relevance for BCL since it brings us closer to potential collaborations with an important sector of small and medium-sized industrial companies with export capacity at a national level. This rapprochement with the industrial sector, especially related to international trade, is one of the important strategies for our Association”.
