Arconvert-Ritrama -Part of Fedrigoni Group- is one of the 4 founding members and directors of CELAB-Europealong with other recognized names in the industrial landscape of the self-adhesive materials sector. CELAB-Europe is a consortium whose purpose is the application of a new business model based on the circular economy and aimed at self-adhesive label materials in Europe.
The consortium, officially presented by FINAT (European Association of the Self-adhesive Label Industry), will work collectively to identify and increase the number of solutions for the recycling and reuse of backing materials and self-adhesive label matrix. The objective of this initiative is to develop a sustainable and circular business model for more than 75% of the support and matrix materials used in Europe by 2025.
The importance of the project lies in the collective will of the self-adhesive industrial sector to put this initiative into practice. For the first time, the leading companies in the self-adhesive industry in Europe have joined forces and their knowledge to create a robust network through which to correlate the different production processes and recycling capacities of different markets.
The objective is not only to present a new sustainable business model, thanks to the recovery and reuse of materials, but also to analyze any technical question; promote the use and application of virtuous recycling networks; constantly interact with government authorities and raise awareness among the industry and its public in the different markets, involving the entire supply chain in the process.
