Asia Pulp & Paper invests in a European distribution center

August 25st, 2014

The Asia Pulp & Paper Group (APP) has increased the capacity for graphic and specialty paper in its 10.000 m2 logistics and warehousing center located in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium.

APP is now able to offer a wide range of graphic paper solutions to customers in Northern Europe (Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany and Northern France), with delivery times of just 7-10 days for orders from 5 to 25 tons. The development will be based on the current capacity of the facilities for quality packaging products.

The Antwerp center supplies the markets of Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany and northern France, and joins the three logistics and storage centers that APP already had on this continent; with a capacity of 10.000 m2 in Italy, 3.000 m2 in Spain and 3.000 m2 in Latvia.

APP has shortened delivery times to cover the entire southern, central, northern and eastern European markets, extending its reach to the Russian market, specifically through the Latvian facility.

The four logistics and warehousing centers are centrally managed and controlled by Asia Pulp & Paper's European sales office, located in Padua, Italy. To do this, it uses a big data logistics solution supplied by SAP, which integrates warehousing, stock management and customer delivery in a single location.

Key graphic and specialty paper products available in European centers include the Nevia Plus, Impression 2000, Enova, and Enova Recycled ranges. Available packaging and graphic board products include the Sinarvanda and Zenith ranges from GC1, Sinarpack and Proxima GC2, and Savvicoat and Ningbo Star SBB / SBS. This is in addition to a number of specialized office products, such as the High Bright range.
