The BASF company organized the "Packaging Day" at the Foment de les Arts Decoratives (FAD) in Barcelona and was attended by a hundred representatives of the main industries of different sectors (food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, graphic arts).
Among the innovative solutions for the container and packaging sector presented by BASF, stand out Ultradur® FC, an engineering plastic suitable for contact with food products; Ecovio FS Paper, which allows cardboard tableware to be composted together with organic waste; E-por®, an elastic and stable foam against multiple shocks, ideal for the packaging of sensitive household appliances; and Aurora®, a multilayer iridescent film.
During the day, after an initial intervention by Carles Navarro, commercial director of BASF Española, Dr. Javier Peña, scientific director of MATER, who analyzed the needs and trends of the packaging sector in Spain, and Aleix Mas Stahr, Business Development participated & Marketing Director of Comexi Group.
Subsequently, there was a dramatized presentation of the products that BASF manufactures for this sector, under the title "Aurora in Packagingland", in which the characters from Alice in Wonderland (Alice, the rabbit, the hatter, the queen of hearts) explained, in a very original way, BASF solutions for the packaging industry.
