Berry Global Group, Inc. has presented a range of special closures and couplings which can be used in conjunction with their popular Politainer™ combination container. This provides a closed system that facilitates safe and easy dispensing of sensitive liquids without coming into contact with air.
Available in sizes from one to 30 liters, Politainer It consists of a polyethylene container contained in a sturdy cardboard exterior. The container collapses when the product is emptied, helping to ensure near-complete evacuation of the container while preventing air ingress. This makes it suitable for a wide range of products including inks, chemicals, pharmaceutical products, food and cosmetics.
Jolly and Easy Connect closures and CMB and CPS couplings can be combined to replace the standard Politainer lid after transport to prevent oxygen ingress whilst dispensing and transferring product. Jolly closures are available with various sealing rings and couplings come in different diameters to meet varying product characteristics such as viscosity. All closures incorporate a tamper evident feature. Jolly couplings for larger Politainers are available with tubes to ensure complete product evacuation.
The Politainer offers up to a 75% reduction in plastic weight compared to a rigid plastic container of similar capacity. In addition, empty packages are shipped flat-packed with one truckload of empty Politainers – equivalent to eight truckloads of rigid containers – to reduce costs and minimize wasted space. This helps optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce the need for full truckload shipments.
