Matarromera Winery has successfully completed the development of a new sustainable bottle for your wines.
It is a container made from bioplastic, specifically PLA, and it is the first bottle made of this material that reproduces the design of traditional glass wine bottles with the advantage of being much lighter (50 grams of weight), fully recyclable and with a lower environmental impact of its manufacturing process. .
AIMPLAS, the Technological Institute of Plastic, has been subcontracted by Bodega Matarromera within this project to design the new containers as well as the preform mold and the blow mold for sustainable bottles.
Subsequently, the characterization of the new container has also been carried out, with an internal coating with silicon oxide, and a considerable improvement in the permeability to the different gases has been verified.
