Cellografica Gerosa, SA, a company dedicated to the manufacture of film for flexible packaging has recently renewed the certificate 'BRC for Packaging'and has reached level A in the audit result. The company inaugurated its new facilities in Olèrdola (Barcelona) in April with an investment of 13 million euros.
BRC (British Retail Consortium) is the reference framework for guaranteeing the quality of packaging and is the standard most demanded by manufacturers of food and consumer products. By complying with these standards, Cellografica Gerosa complies with the requirements demanded by its clients in terms of risk assessment, hazard analysis, quality management and good manufacturing practices and senior management commitment.
The recent inauguration of the new Cellografica Gerosa facilities has been highly valued by the audit. The improvements made and the work carried out by the entire Cellografica Gerosa team have enabled the company to achieve the A-level quality seal from the British Retail Consortium. And the company plans to match the other plants in the Gerosa group and achieve an AA level like Inverigo's, the top rating for announced audits, or successfully pass unannounced BRC audits like Rieusset.
In addition to the BRC audit, the AENOR team that visited Cellografica Gerosa carried out follow-up audits of the Quality Management (ISO 9001), Food Safety (ISO 22000) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) systems, with favorable results.
