Avery Dennison

Avery Dennison Labels and Packaging Materials Europe announces that the vast majority of its hot melt adhesives rubber-based have been certified for bio-based content by the European certification body TÜV Austria. The certification guarantees that these adhesives contain a minimum of 20% renewable raw materials and reflects the company's commitment to continue using renewable content in its products.

The demand for products based on renewable raw materials is growing, thanks to greater environmental awareness among consumers. Rubber hot melt adhesives, used in applications such as transportation and logistics, are no exception. TÜV Austria offers its certification OK bio-based as an independent guarantee of the percentage of renewable content in the products.

The new certification applies to 98% by volume of Avery Dennison's rubber-based hot melt adhesive. Most of the adhesives, such as S2045N, S2047N, and TS8000, received 2-star certification (guaranteed minimum 40% renewable content), while S2065N and C2075N adhesives received 1-star certification (minimum 20% renewable content). renewable).

Alena Maran, Director of Marketing Strategy and Sustainability at Avery Dennison, states: “Increasing our use of recycled and renewable content is an important pillar of our sustainability strategy. This certification demonstrates our commitment to developing even more sustainable solutions and doing our part to advance the circular economy."
