Cideyeg invests in the installation of 1.000 photovoltaic panels in its factory in Terrassa

March 21th 2022

cideyeg covers the roof of his factory in Terrassa (Barcelona) with 1.000 solar panels. Its challenge is to transform the energy generated from its activity into green and sustainable while reducing the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere. The installation began at the beginning of this year at the hands of a leading company in the sector of Photovoltaic Solar Energy, and will be fully operational by the end of this month.

"Our goal is to generate a positive impact and be part of the solution in the fight against climate change and global warming," they comment from the organization. This initiative joins those already existing to contribute to a society with increasingly sustainable practices.

The installation of solar panels has meant a great advance. Customers will be directly benefited by being able to dress their products with packaging with green energy, since 160,55 tons of CO2, 205kg of SOx and 145h of NOx will be saved per year, the gases responsible for the greenhouse effect and global warming of the earth.

As a sign of its commitment to the environment, Cideyeg only works with European distributors endorsed by the FSC and PEFC certification in its raw material, that is, in paper and cardboard. Thus, they make sure to offer a responsible pack with the planet, conserving all its ecosystems and contributing to sustainable forest management.

In addition, since last year, they have been collaborating with the international entity World Land Trust (WLT) to help plant trees all over the world. This 2022 they have a strategic plan to continue protecting more forest hectares.
