Coexpan, the Lantero Group division specialized in the manufacture of rigid sheets and thermoformed products, has presented CoexBioR, its new range of plastic sheets made of Ingeo ™ polylactic acid (PLA), a material suitable for numerous food contact applications. To develop this range, Coexpan has signed a collaboration agreement with NatureWorks LLC, the world's leading supplier of biopolymers and founder of Ingeo ™ PLA bioplastic, and with AMUT Group, an Italian manufacturer of extrusion and thermoforming lines.
Coexpan PLA sheets have barrier properties that reduce the transmissions of oxygen, fat and water vapor, preserving the flavor and aroma of food for longer and have a high degree of transparency and shine, with a high resistance to tearing. .
