covers has obtained the RecyClass recycled plastics traceability certification level 2 certification for three of its plants, which represents a further step in the company's commitment to transparency and the circular economy in the plastic packaging sector.
The RecyClass recycled plastics traceability certification recognizes robust systems that accurately document and track recycled plastics throughout the production process, from verified waste origin to finished products. It provides independent assurance that recycled materials are responsibly sourced, accurately tracked throughout the supply chain, and incorporated in clearly defined percentages, enabling reliable and credible product claims.
The newly certified plants, which supply primary, secondary and tertiary packaging for sectors such as food, beverages, pet food, home and personal care, and transport, are located in Firminy and Montfaucon (France) and Louth (United Kingdom)Each plant met the strict requirements of the RecyClass audit process and demonstrated compliance with EN 15343 and ISO 22095 standards.
The RecyClass Traceability Certification is issued by RecyClass, a cross-sector European initiative that sets recognized standards for the recyclability and recycled content of plastics, thereby driving progress towards a circular economy for plastics.

After achieving Level 2 certification for RecyClass Recycling Process and RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability in 2025, Coveris' plant in Winsford, UK, successfully completed its second year audits in 2026.
