CTL pack has obtained the EcoVadis certification in the Platinum category, the highest rating given to only 1% of the companies in the plastics sector, evaluated worldwide, for their work in corporate social responsibility. Since 2017, EcoVadis has certified the work of CTLPack Vitoria and CTLpack Vichy, having won the Gold medal in previous years.
This platform evaluates the performance of companies in terms of sustainability in the categories “Environment”, “Labor practices and human rights”, “Ethics” and “Sustainable purchases”. With a score of 78/100, CTLpack exceeds the average of the companies evaluated in all four areas.
Likewise, CTLpack has maintained its level of score in the Environment, despite the fact that the requirements by EcoVadis have increased, standing out in sustainable solutions such as weight reduction in its products, the use of bio-based materials and PCR, or the development of monomaterial and totally recyclable tubes.
For, louis izco, CEO of the group, “for more than fifteen years, the commitment to sustainability and socially responsible activity have been priorities for CTLpack and recognitions such as this endorse our work. This medal is the result of the constant work of our team and represents a guarantee of business quality. We are very proud to place ourselves at the same level as large leading corporations worldwide.”
Headquartered in France, EcoVadis is the only universal provider of sustainability ratings. Through its exclusive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) evaluation methodology, it assesses the practices of more than 75 companies in more than 160 countries.
The system it applies encompasses seven management indicators based on 21 sustainability criteria focused on the four evaluation areas. It is based on the main standards, such as those of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the UN Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard, and is supervised by an international scientific committee. They rate performance by evaluating a company's policies, actions, and results, as well as input from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.
