Uncork your imagination with Verallia

El Verallia Glass and Creation Contest This year it reaches its third edition in Spain. Under the slogan "Uncork your imagination", the contest challenges students to come up with an original bottle of wine and encourage them to deepen their knowledge of the world of wine, a sector of great importance in Spain.

In addition, this edition will be able -for the first time- to measure their talent against that of the participants from other countries, in the first international final organized by Verallia.

 

Verallia, a leading company in the glass packaging sector, continues to offer budding designers new opportunities to excel in their discipline through its Glass and Creation Contest.

This time, the wine is the protagonist: red, white, rosé, sparkling, sherry ... which is the favorite of young Spaniards and how do you think it should be presented to be more attractive? The third chapter of the contest - seventh in its international edition-, which is increasingly popular among Design schools in our country, is a perfect platform to learn about the proposals that future professionals offer to those wineries in search of a more modern image.

The firm has chosen Jokin Arregi, director and founder of the design studio "Series Nemo", as a mentor for this occasion. He heads a jury made up of some of the main Spanish wineries, as well as designers and journalists related to the world of packaging. They must choose, among the projects presented, the most original, viable and faithful to the values ​​of sustainability, innovation and practicality associated with glass.

The challenge of the winners does not stop there, since their designs will be measured against those of the best of each of the countries - France, Italy, Brazil, Portugal and Argentina, among others - in which Verallia holds its contest. The name of the international winner will be decided in a grand finale that promises to be as spectacular as it is close.  

The schools selected for this edition are ELISAVA, La Rioja School of Design, Universidad Europea de Madrid and EAAI Diseño & Arte de Granada-. For the occasion, the company has created a website specific where you can consult the bases as well as any other useful information about the contest.

The prize for the winning project is € 2.500, also granting a second prize, valued at € 1.300, and a third, € 900. In addition, the Verallia initiative is also a unique opportunity for one of the firm's clients to choose one of the designs presented to manufacture and market it, together with its creator.

As always, the public will have the option to vote for their favorite design on the profile of Verallia on Facebook. The most voted project will receive the Facebook Prize, endowed with € 300.
