Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) launches a new compact monochrome inkjet printer, the K300, which was introduced at Labelexpo Americas. The printer K300 is a compact and flexible solution for those manufacturers looking to add variable data printing capabilities to analog printing lines.
Monochrome inkjet printer K300 will be part of a code printing and verification solution, including the machine vision system from Domino Group’s Lake Image Systems.
“The industry’s move to 2D codes at point-of-sale has led to an increase in demand for variable data printing, so many brands are looking to incorporate complex 2D codes, such as GS1-powered QR codes, into their packaging and label designs,” he explains. Alex Mountis, Senior Product Manager at Domino. “Packaging and label manufacturers need a compact, versatile and reliable digital printing solution that responds to this change in market demand. We have developed the K300 keeping in mind those variable data printing and 2D code options.”
Monochrome inkjet printer K300 The 2dpi printhead can be incorporated into analogue printing lines to personalise printed labels with variable data such as best before dates, batch codes, serial numbers and 600D codes. The high-resolution 54dpi printhead has a compact size of just XNUMXmm, allowing for more flexible line placement, as well as supporting the possibility of combining two print stations across the width of the web to print two independent codes.
With speeds of up to 250 m per minute, the monochrome inkjet printer K300 The Domino 1000 is designed to match the speeds of flexographic printing. This eliminates the need to slow down the line speed to add variable data. Domino ink technology includes automatic ink recirculation and degassing, which helps ensure consistent performance and excellent reliability, as well as reducing downtime for maintenance. The press is designed to be easy to use, with intuitive set-up and operation via Domino’s intelligent user interface.
