Ecoembes, the organization that cares for the environment through recycling and eco-design of packaging in Spain, has held the II edition of the R Awards where it has awarded the best innovative initiatives related to sustainability and recycling.
The awards ceremony, led by journalist Carme Chaparro, was opened by Guillermina Yanguas, General Director of Quality and Environmental and Natural Assessment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment. The awards have had an exceptional jury, chaired by Óscar Martín, CEO of Ecoembes.
The winners in this edition have been Laboratorios Indas, in the category of Best Ecodesign Measurement, and the RNE journalist Sandra Camps Ocaña, as Best Journalistic Work. For its part, the Pedro Segura company has received the award for Best Research and Innovation Project and in the categories of Best Public Administration Awareness Campaign and Best Social Initiative have been awarded the Cabildo de Tenerife and the Fundación Red de Apoyo a Socio-Labor Integration (RAIS Fu), respectively.
This year, in addition, a new category has been included to recognize the work of well-known faces from the world of culture, music, fashion or gastronomy for their commitment to the environment. On this occasion, the winner was the singer Alejandro Sanz.
