covers has teamed up with Veetee, one of the UK's largest rice suppliers, to launch fully recyclable packaging for rice own brand of Aldi.
Aldi has replaced the monomaterial PE laminated packaging with one of PE MonoFlexE Fully recyclable from Coveris for its Worldwide Foods own brand 1kg basmati rice and brown rice packs.
The new package provides similar shelf life properties and packaging speeds to the previous mixed laminated substrate. Coveris has used its film extrusion capabilities to support the performance and functionality of the MonoFlexE recyclable rice container, which is available with HD flexo printing in up to nine colors and gloss or matte varnish.
The packaging design features the highly visible recycling logo on the front and the recycling label on the back.
