The shrinking deodorant

Unilever, the company behind Sure, Dove and Vaseline, has introduced a new “compressed” aerosol. New deodorants require less propellant gas with each spray, allowing them to be reduced in size. In this way, the carbon footprint decreases an average of 25% for each one. In addition, they use 25% less aluminum on average, and due to their smaller size it is possible to transport a greater quantity on each trip, so that the number of trucks is reduced by 35%. Available in feminine deodorants, with the 150 ml versions of Sure, Dove and Vaseline Intensive Care reduced to 75 ml.
Lindal Group and Unilever. The Lindal Group was involved in the development of the new 'compressed' aerosol system for Unilever, and is the company's leading supplier of valves and actuators worldwide. The new packages use 50% less propellant gas, their size has been reduced by half and consumers enjoy the same protection as with the larger package.
