BCD Barcelona Design Center organizes the fourth edition of the MID Design Ideas Market, a program that encourages creative entrepreneurship by creating business opportunities among entrepreneurs, creatives, companies and investors. The objective of the MID is to convert the participating projects into products or services on the market, either through a company that acquires them, either through an investor that supports an entrepreneur to create or help grow a business project, or through financing via crowdfunding.
The 2014 edition of the MID is divided into two calls: a first, called 'Company seeks investor' and which is aimed at creative start-ups seeking investment and / or financing. And a second call, 'Creative idea seeks company', aimed at creatives who want to present their projects to companies, which will be organized at the end of the year.
Until next April 17 at 13:XNUMX p.m. (peninsular time) the deadline will remain open to receive registrations from entrepreneurs who are part of a start-up linked to a creative discipline and who are interested in attracting investment to promote the expansion of your company. All start-ups or national or international companies that are already established in the following sectors of the creative and cultural industries can apply to this first call: design (product, graphic, fashion, interior design, environment), audiovisual and interactive media (cinema , video, television, radio, podcasting, software, video games), architecture, advertising, crafts, visual arts, tourism, gastronomy and sports.
From the proposals received, the most prepared start-ups will be selected to present their project to investors at the Creative Industries Investment Forum, a meeting organized by BCD, in collaboration with Keiretsu Forum, which will promote business opportunities and access to financing to those entrepreneurs who stand out for the application of innovation and creativity in their business projects. The investment forum, which will take place on June 10 at the Disseny Hub Barcelona facilities, will be one of the main activities of the Barcelona Design Week 2014 program.
