With a special edition of Vintage 2015, Dom Pérignon pays tribute to Jean-Michele Basquiat, an artist deeply rooted in his origins, who formed one of the most iconic and powerful artistic expressions of our time. The complexity present in Basquiat's work and in Dom Pérignon's wines also represents a convergence between Dom Pérignon's aesthetic ideal and the creative arts by Basquiat.
Dom Pérignon's tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat takes the form of a special edition Vintage 2015 cases. The design of these cases was conceived according to the principle of assembly, appreciated by both Dom Pérignon and Basquiat. The series includes three different designs, each representing a part of Basquiat's work, which can be reassembled by joining the cases together.
To further reinforce the sense of the encounter between Dom Pérignon and Basquiat, each of the three parts of the work was studied in its components so that the name and emblem of the Maison were harmoniously inscribed on the case, within the colour fields of the painting, maximising the sophisticated play of its shapes and lines.
As a true hallmark of this tribute, the bottle labels, also created in three colour variants, bear the hybrid emblem of the three-pointed crown superimposed on the shield.
