The main innovations in the field of flexography centered the 20th edition of the Hispamerflex Congress held in Valencia. The congress, with presentations by experts, technicians and top representatives of Comexi, DuPont, Sun Chemical and Esko, brought together more than 70 attendees, most of them managers and owners of printing companies and the conversion sector.
The conference was moderated by David Centelles, Director of Marketing and the Manel Xifra Boada Technology Center (Comexi CTec), and began with a welcome from Eddy Fadel, Esko's Regional Business Director South, who highlighted the changes they are currently facing companies integrated in the flexible packaging industry and how firms can take advantage of them as growth opportunities. Later, the general director of Sun Chemical, Francisco Contreras, detailed the current situation facing the flexible packaging industry and its projection as one of the main growing markets in a digital and sustainable world.
Innovations, new formulas to improve efficiency in the field of flexographic printing, the latest sustainability solutions and color management were some of the main topics on this congress.
Miguel Ángel Beltrán, specialist in business development at DuPont, explained how the evolution of technology is oriented, more than ever, towards improving efficiency and control in production processes. Pablo Ferrín, Application Sales Manager Iberia at Esko, delved into current innovative solutions that increase productivity and sustainability.
Likewise, Sun Chemical took advantage of the relevance of the event to present its latest product, the Sun Color Box, the latest solution for digital color management in flexible packaging, as explained by José Luis Martín de Loeches, Director of Technical Assistance at Sun Chemical Iberia .
For his part, Comexi Flexo Brand Manager, Raúl El Fakdi, delved into the new developments in the current dynamic environment of flexographic printing.
Finally, the day ended with a presentation by the consultant and writer Victor Küppers entitled 'The attitude to change'. Francesc de Roa, Director of DuPont Advanced Printing, closed this technical congress.
