Enplater Group expands solar energy production at the Torroella and Sariñena centers

Enplater Group has invested again in the installation of solar panels to continue increasing its share of electricity self-consumption. Solar energy is part of its continuous investment policy with environmental objectives.

With the expansion of the solar park. Enplater Group has reached a power of 1600 Kwp and a production capacity of 2,065 million Kwh per year, reducing annual CO2 emissions by 500.000 kg. According to Eurostat and IDEA (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving), the average annual consumption per home is 3.487 Kwh, so current savings are equivalent to the consumption of 592 single-family houses.

Enplater Group has the EMAS environmental excellence certification, which allows it to evaluate, improve and publicize its environmental performance, the ISO 14.001 certification based on the international standard that expresses how to establish the Environmental Management System (GSA), in addition to the ISCC+, a certification system that verifies that there is a correct control and management system for raw materials and final products through their traceability and a true mass balance.

Enplater Group is made up of Envases Plásticos del Ter and Envases Plásticos de Aragón, both dedicated to the manufacture of flexible packaging for the food (pasta, appetizers and snacks, sliced ​​bread, etc.) and non-food sectors, which report a 90% % and 10% of their sales, respectively. The new developments of the Enplater R+D+i department stand out to incorporate new products prepared for recycling: monomaterials, compostables and with recycled content.
In 2022, the Enplater Group achieved sales of €82 million and a workforce of 369 employees.
