Plater, specialist in flexible packaging, has developed PETFULL ©a whirlpool bath, 100% PET cap designed to be used on PET trays, which, being the same type of plastic, facilitates recycling. It is available with and without barrier to prolong the conservation of fresh products. In addition, it can incorporate an anti-fog treatment, has high transparency and excellent peelability.
Klockner Pentaplast has also developed the PET tray, so that it is a more sustainable solution, while protecting the food, facilitating use by the end consumer.
It is a project promoted by the Innovacc meat clusters and the Packaging Cluster and financed by the Catalan Waste Agency.
