Eviosys and Barilla

Eviosys and Barilla have partnered to drive a more sustainable future for the Barilla's premium range of pesto. Bill new packaging presents a complete revision, with a logo, graphics, design and an elegant metal closure, which show the quality and sustainability that the brand wanted to convey.

The high-quality sealing and optimal protection of the metal closuress from Eviosys guarantee flavor preservation, maintaining the delicate nuances of Barilla's premium basil and, therefore, the authentic Italian flavors.

Eviosys has accompanied Barilla in its transition towards this new premium container design with optimized closure, including the installation of new capping machines in its pesto plant. Thanks to the experience of his technical team, Barilla has faced the challenge of changing its usual packaging formats to adapt to the needs of its new and improved line of premium products.

This association is based on the ambitious program ESG from Eviosys, Preserve Together, which finds in innovation the main drive for progress and sustainability in the sector.

In the words of Laetitia Durafour, Eviosys Marketing Director: “Eviosys and Barilla have flowed naturally in this partnership. Both companies value high-end sustainable products and make sure to offer the best quality without neglecting the preservation of the planet. Barilla's Barilla Pesto range makes sustainably farmed basil available to everyone, while Eviosys' commitment to innovation drives the sustainable revolution in food packaging."

For its part, Leonardo Mirone, Barilla Packaging Purchasing Director, said: “Our collaboration with Eviosys has been instrumental in making this new packaging and the evolution of the Barilla Pesto range possible. I believe that Barilla Pesto will have greater recognition on the store shelves thanks to a packaging that exemplifies quality, Italian character and sustainability."
