Expoquimia and Equiplast 2023 doors close this afternoon at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue with very positive feelings, demonstrating the dynamism of the chemical and plastics industries and their firm commitment to sustainability. This year's edition marks a turning point to promote sectoral cohesion with which to face the green and digital transformation of two essential sectors.
During four days of intense activity, the participating companies have highlighted the optimistic atmosphere in which the fairs have been held, as well as the quality of the commercial contacts made. The benchmark events in Spain for chemistry and plastic organized by Fira de Barcelona have met expectations by adding 590 direct exhibitors, more than 1.500 brands represented, and 18.882 visitors.
According to President of the Expoquimia Organizing Committee, Carles Navarro, "The show has demonstrated the dynamism of the chemical industry, fostering interesting business contacts and providing knowledge on issues relevant to our future as a sector." Navarro has highlighted the need to "unite and strengthen the industry to face its transformation and improve its competitiveness at a European level".
In turn, the Chairman of the Equiplast Organizing Committee, Bernd Roegele, has valued the development of the fair very positively: "with one of the best exhibition offers in recent years with machinery and technology in operation to manufacture, transform and recycle plastic in order to accelerate its circularity". Roegele has highlighted the "good influx of professionals who have generated new business opportunities and boosted projects and operations for the sector".
Circularity and digitization
The more than 100 knowledge and networking activities held have had a great following, confirming the success of the chosen topics and the focus on the circular economy, digitization and technology transfer as the main levers that have to guarantee a sustainable future for companies. industries.
Among the activities this year, the knowledge space ““Industry Showcase” where success stories and the experiences of companies using chemical and plastic solutions have been presented. Along the same lines, the recognitions “Best in class” who awarded the hall to H2Site, Inditex, Repsol y fuelium as an example of the application of chemical innovation in different sectors. The forum has also been a protagonist “Smart Chemistry Smart Future” de Feique with the projects of the leading companies to respond to the challenges of the European green pact.
Presentation of the Liderpack Awards and Expoquimia Gala Dinner
Yesterday, June 1, the 2022 Packaging and PLV Líderpack were delivered in room 4.2 of the Gran Via venue. During the event, the awards were given to the winning companies of the Liderpack 2022 Packaging and POS Awards, organized by the Graphispack Association and the Hispack trade fair at Fira de Barcelona.
Finally, as a great sectoral act, to underline the Expoquimia Gala Dinner with more than 600 attendees, including the main executives of companies and entities in the sector, which served to make visible the power of a transversal industry that is claimed as essential to catalyze the transformation of productive processes in a sustainable key.
