The business group Salinas, through its subsidiary in Catalonia latuc SL has sealed the acquisition of the production unit of Fabregas Packaging.
The centenary Catalan firm, a family business specialized in the production of rigid packaging in lined cardboard For the Premium and luxury sectors, it entered bankruptcy before the Mercantile Court number 8 of Barcelona last November 2019.
With this acquisition, the Salinas group will now manage three commercial brands: Cartonajes Salinas, Latuc and Fabregas Packaging, all of which are dedicated to the same activity.
Salinas assumes with this acquisition the assets of the company, valued at about 9.000.000 million Euros and the production unit, whose latest data is 10.000.000 units produced in 8.000m2 of production plant, more than fifty workers and the BRC certification of food safety and packaging of products not only food but also cosmetics and perfumery.
Faced with the diversification of other large groups, Salinas is committed to specialization and service in its main markets: Spain, France and Central Europe.
Salinas will integrate the Fabregas Packaging trademark into its business strategy, as well as the great know-how acquired by the firm over more than 100 years, with the group's intention to make a smooth and continuous transition. For its part, the Alicante firm contributes to Fabregas Packaging's business, all the semi-finished and graphic arts processes that it does not have, and a business philosophy based on equipment and analysis, which has allowed it to maintain sustained growth during twenty five years.
