Alzamora Group opened the doors of its headquarters in Olot to professionals from various companies and industries as part of a Factory Tour: a guided professional visit, designed to demonstrate in a direct and practical way how the Lean Manufacturing culture is integrated into its processes and management model.
During the event, attendees representing nine organizations from different sectors toured the facilities and learned how Lean methodologies, from the most visual to the most analytical, are applied with a focus on sustainability throughout the entire value stream.
Visitors were able to observe standardized and highly organized processes, work methods focused on efficiency and waste elimination, and Lean tools applied daily that add real value to the end customer.
Terms such as SMED (rapid reduction of machine changeover times), VSM (value stream mapping), Ishikawa (root cause analysis), PDCA (continuous improvement cycle: plan, do, check, act), Lean Office (application of Lean in administrative processes), Visual Management (visual tools to control processes) or even Process Digitalization (use of digital technologies to optimize operations) were tangible examples of how an industrial company can operate.
Participants particularly appreciated seeing how a Lean philosophy translates into action: from the commitment of operational teams to upward communication tools such as the PDCA cycle applied to continuous improvement.
One of the most enriching moments of the day was the networking and professional exchange space, where the attending companies shared lessons, experiences, and reflections on how to adapt ideas to their own environments.
