El Fedrigoni Group, one of the world's largest players in labels and premium self-adhesive materials and special papers for luxury packaging and other creative solutions, has reached in March 2022 the 1.760,2 million euros of turnover, 250 million Adjusted Ebitda and 258,7 million Proforma Adjusted Ebitda (from March 2021 to March 2022). A history of continuous growth for a Group with 4 employees in 500 countries, 27 production, cutting and distribution centers and 52 products, in addition to thousands of solutions created exclusively for major fashion and luxury brands.

«It has been a very intense year -comments the CEO of the Fedrigoni Group Marco Nespolo-, but we have managed, with determination, to continue with our strategic plan and guarantee the full continuity of the activity, fulfilling our commitments to customers thanks to preventive action on our processes, on supplies and transport in order to face to the persistence of the health emergency, as well as the lack of raw materials and their rising prices. And considering the excellent results, especially in the last 12 months (March 2021-March 2022), we remain optimistic for the future, despite the tensions due to the war in Ukraine.”

Marco Nespolo adds: «we continue with our plan to attract talent (more than 377 new hires around the world, 900 in the last three years) and its growth and we expanded our global presence in Europe, Latin America, the United States and Asia, with openings in the United Kingdom, Poland, China, Indonesia, the Philippines and three new acquisitions to strengthen our position in the market, expand our production capacity and enrich our portfolio of premium products. We acquired the American company Acucote, the Mexican Rimark and 70% of a newco in a joint venture with Tecnoform, for the production of innovative thermoformed cellulose packaging solutions. These operations, together with the mergers and acquisitions carried out in the first quarter of 2022 (the Spanish Divipa and the French Tageos, specialist in RFID) raise 8 the number of acquisitions in the last three years. We have also stepped on the accelerator in terms of investments, with more than 66,6 million invested last year (+40,4% compared to 2020) to increase production capacity and develop new products; a budget that we intend to continue increasing by 2022.”

Regarding the product portfolio, the repositioning -in the last three years- of the two business units towards premium product segments, capable of absorbing price increases and offsetting the general increase in previous costs, has been decisive. In fact, both divisions grew in terms of volume and turnover in 2021: 700,2 million euros of revenue in the world of special papers for luxury packaging and other creative solutions (+22,8% compared to 2020) and 937,6 .20,7 million in labels and self-adhesive materials (+XNUMX%).
